Certainly to get the full features from EMO, you need Wifi so he can reach out the the Internet. You don’t need it for everything though. When the Wifi is down, EMO tells you nicely that it’s down like this…

I asked this in a few other places, but I didn’t get an answer. What happens if Living AI shuts down like Anki? I hope they don’t, but I know that sometimes it happens. Does Emo’s voice recognition rely on a server owned by Living AI or are voice recordings sent somewhere else to be processed? I heard something about amazon or google, but I wasn’t sure if they were talking about Emo’s commands or integration with alexa or google assistant. I just want my robot to last. I don’t want it to be like Vector, where it turns into an expensive paperweight or a subscription service.
Hey Paden – this is a question I know they have considered themselves. I’ve got bits of an answer (and it’s a good one), but not enough to publish a full response as yet. When I do, you’ll hear about it 🙂
Does anal need Wi-Fi for his Alexa like capabilities
Yes he will need WiFi for Alexa Features
Emo should be able to do something with his voice if the WiFi is down.
Just a question, does emo need good wifi to work? Or can he function with just the bare minimum wifi?
